Ventnor Diversifying Economy. Attracting New Breed of Creative Business.

Sure, Ventnor has beautiful beaches, a superb boardwalk, attractive Real Estate and great places to eat. But this part of Absecon Island is also a haven of entrepreneurs and myriad creative types.

Over at Design Nation, owners Laurie Staller and Rachel Albanese are knee-deep in truly unique projects. Sometimes it’s a custom t-shirt. At other times, Design Nation cooks up something crazy and cool. Often, it’s putting something spiffy or retro on the product/material of your choice.

For example, Ventnor’s Lori Duffield Colaianni recently launched her candle company called Twist Candle Co. The lovely ladies of Design Nation were called upon to creatively combines Twist Candle Co’s logo printed on a variety of materials. This time around, the logo was adhered to an awesome piece of canvas found at The Arc in Ventnor.

Right next door to Design Nation is Little Rock Films & Studios, offering classes in acting, filmmaking, photography and writing.

According to their website, Little Rock provides a space where individuals can learn the skills and develop the confidence needed to be successful in “the industry”, school, and most importantly…life.
